I would still recommend the mushroom and tire insurance. With less than 2,000 miles on the bike I was on my 3rd tire. To avoid worry I replaced the tire before the trip and ran over a screw the first day and had to replace the tire. I used the mushroom on my BMW tire that only had 1,000 miles before a trip to Daytona. I used it on a pickup tire and it did fail due to a inability of the operator (ie me) to follow instructions. I used the mushroom on a corvette tire several years ago and have had no problem at various speeds, some within the posted speed limit. Just wondering if one type is better than the other for quick repairs to hold one over until you can get to a service station of tire dealer. The tube patches would come in handy for bicycle tube repairs so either kit would be useful. I have tubless tires on my 1100RT and would use plugs/strips for that application.

They have 2 different kits, one with plugs for tubeless tires and the other with strip plugs and tube patches. The Stop & Go Tire Plugger kit offers a different take on this, where a special tool is used to insert rubber plugs with mushroom-shaped heads into the tire.
